The rumors are true: Honey Butter Fried Chicken, the upcoming restaurant from the Sunday Dinner Club folks, is making its first official appearance at HoliDose on Sunday. If this photo doesn’t make your mouth water…
…perhaps Honey Butter’s description will:
The chicken: “Our crispy, juicy fried chicken is buttermilk-battered and locally sourced. It has a savory and slightly smoky crust and is served with a big ol’ dollop of honey butter that features local honey. The spicy, sweet, buttery combo is something we have been cooking up for years at our Sunday Dinner Club and we can’t wait to share it with the public.”
The sides: “Honey Butter will offer highly seasonal, vibrant sides that feature the best of what is available from area farms. At Dose, we are thrilled to be serving a delicata squash and sweet potato salad, spiked with lime and cilantro, and sourced from Green Acres Farm in North Judson, Indiana.”
The sweets: “Pure ingredient romance = the combination of pecans, maple and bourbon. Which is why we take Missouri pecans, Kentucky Bourbon and Wisconsin maple syrup and bake them into a lovely pecan pie-esque tart. It’s the perfect sweet after a healthy Dose (wink, wink) of our fried chicken.”
HBFC will be set up in back of the REAC by the river. Follow the smell and you’ll find ’em.
