Little did you know, this city is abuzz with bees: Urban apiaries are growing in popularity – and so is local honey production. One of the notable local pioneers is Chicago Honey Co-op, a Lawndale-based organization that combines job training and beekeeping.
In addition to delicious raw honey (clover and basswood in spring and summer; wild aster and goldenrod in autumn), the co-op produces moisturizing bars, lip balm, honey-sugar body scrub, candles, and honey mustard, all made with honey from local bees, and all available at Dose on June 5.
