In addition to the menswear-focused vendors who’ve sold at Dose in the past (Division St. Watch Co., Lisa Spagnolo, Artfully Disheveled, Apartment Number 9), we’ve got some extra-special male goodness on October 16:
Barely a month after a soft opening online, Max Wastler and Joe Gannon’s Buckshot Sonny’s Sporting Goods has its Chicago debut. Described as the “kind of shop your grandfather would have taken your father,” BSSG is all about made-in-America menswear and sporting goods: vintage fitted ball caps, new baseball gloves made in Texas, Huntington Base Ball Company balls, old kites and more. We’re partial to the Pointer brand herringbone jackets (ladies, grab the one remaining extra-small), but it’s the camo version that’s been a big hit since their launch. After selling out in the first few hours of business, the boys are releasing a new batch – slightly modified – at this Sunday’s Dose.
Oak Street Bootmakers
Wear your best socks because you’ll be showing some foot when you see Oak Street Bootmakers’ display. Handcrafted in the U.S. using locally sourced Horween leather, they’re the perfect kind of made-to-last shoes and boots for a Chicago winter.
Sir & Madame
Keeping with the made-in-America theme, Sir & Madame is representing its made-in-Chicago house brand with a nice selection of unisex bags — think rucksacks, weekender bags and portfolios. You’ll also find pieces like Creep coats for guys, but we’re extra jazzed about the Osborn shoes. We promise you’ll get a few wears out of these cotton kicks before it gets too cold and slushy. Did we mention they’re on sale?
